Review: I enjoyed the book “Just as Long as We’re Together” by Judy Blume. The main character in this story is Stephanie and her two friends Allison and Rachel. The main problem in this story is that Stephanie’s parents are going through a “trial” separation and this is very hard on her. Another problem she’s facing, is that her BFF since second grade, Rachel, is feeling left out from her and Allison (who just moved in). Steph and Rachel don’t talk for more than a month! They eventually start talking again but are not the same best friends as they used to be. Stephanie is still very sad about her parents “trial” separation especially when her mom says they probably won’t get back together.
In they end of the book Allison and Steph are very good friends. Steph finally agrees to live with the separation especially because her dad is moving back to New York!
I thought this book was good, but I didn’t love it. My favourite character in this book is Allison because I can relate to being the new person as she had to. I would recommend this book for kids in grade 5 and up.
