Review: Cinderella is a story about kindness, courage, and love. Ella (Cinderella) lives in a beautiful cozy little house with her mother and father. Ella has an amazing life with her family. She has kind animal friends, loving parents, and Ella herself is always sweet and kind. Everything is good, until tragedy strikes. Ella’s mother becomes gravely ill. Although before she dies Ella’s mother wants to her something. Something to see her through all the trials that a life can offer. ”Have courage and be kind. Where there is kindness there is goodness and where there is goodness there is magic.”Is what Ella’s mother tells her. Ella promises to be kind and courageous. Years pass by with Ella and her father living in their home. True to her word Ella remains kind and courageous. With Ella’s mother gone Ella’s father decides to remarry. Ella does the kind thing and supports her father’s decision. Ella meets her new family Lady Treamine (Ella’s stepmother) and Drisella and Anastasia (Ella’s stepsisters). It just so happened that Ella’s step-family was very cruel. Though neither Ella’s father nor Ella knew that yet. One day Ella’s father is off on a business trip. He takes ill on the road and dies. Ella is left with her step-family who have been waiting for a chance to hurt her. Ella becomes a servant girl named Cinderella to her step-family. Through all this cruelty Ella manages to stay strong. One day Ella meets a man in the woods not knowing its the prince himself! Ella falls in love with Kit (the prince) and so does Kit. Though luck may be just around the corner for Ella. As a grand ball decides chance for Ella and Kit to meet again……. The story happens at Ella’s house and the grand palace. My favorite character was Ella. The book made me laugh that Ella didn’t know Kit was really the prince. Overall Cinderella is an amazing story about the power of kindness and courage.
