Review of “Artemis Fowl”, written by Eoin Colfer

Reviewed by: Christine

Review: From the get-go it appears Artemis Fowl is going to be about Artemis Fowl, a criminal boy genius with Sherlock Holmes-like powers of deduction, but then bomb squad-esque faeries take over the story and we end up spending just as much time, if not more, reading about them. That’s fine since they’re interesting and their story moves with a good dash of fun and excitement.

Review of “Smelly Socks”, written by Robert Munsch

Reviewed by: Christine

Review: Robert Munsch writes a funny story about a girl named Tina who works very hard to find a way to get to the store across the river to buy a pair of socks. When she finally makes it there and she chooses a pair of new socks, she loves them so much that she refuses to take them off, even when they begin to smell. Friends finally intervene and do what must be be done to resolve the issue.
